Jaela Vasquez

I am an 18-year-old freshman at Indiana University Bloomington, majoring in Media Advertising with a minor in Marketing. I am passionate about creativity, communication, and understanding how brands connect with people. My goal is to build a career in advertising and marketing where I can combine my creativity and business interests to create meaningful and impactful work.

As the child of a single parent and someone who has lost my father, I have learned the importance of perseverance, independence, and working hard for the future I want. My family has motivated me to take my education seriously and pursue opportunities that will help me build a successful and fulfilling career.

In addition to my education, I am a licensed cosmetologist. Earning my cosmetology license at a young age has taught me discipline, responsibility, creativity, communication, and the importance of setting goals and following through with them. These experiences have helped shape me into the person and student I am today.

I am determined to make the most of my college experience and build a future that I can be proud of. Any scholarship support would make a meaningful difference in my education and bring me one step closer to reaching my goals. I am grateful for the opportunity to pursue my dreams at Indiana University Bloomington, and I hope to use my education, skills, and experiences to create a successful future for myself and my family.
