My name is JahMya Jeanette Jackson, and I am currently pursuing dual Associate degrees in Pre-Social Work and Early Care and Childhood Education at UC Blue Ash College. As a proud first-generation college student, I am committed to using my education to create lasting change in underserved communities. After completing my associate degrees, I plan to continue my education and earn a bachelor’s degree to further my impact in the fields of social work and early childhood care. During my time at UC Blue Ash, I have demonstrated consistent academic excellence, earning Dean’s List honors in both Fall 2024 and Spring 2025, and maintaining a 3.91 GPA.

- Career goal
My long-term career goal is to become a licensed social worker and early childhood educator specializing in trauma-informed care. I plan to open my own daycare center that offers inclusive, developmentally supportive services for young children, as well as establish a foster home specifically for teenagers who often face placement challenges. In both roles, I intend to create nurturing, stable environments that prioritize emotional well-being, equity, and long-term growth. My work will focus on advocacy, community outreach, and providing wraparound support services to ensure that children and teens in underserved communities have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
