About

My name is Jalyjah Davis, and I am currently a senior at Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School, set to graduate in June 2025. As a highly motivated and community-driven individual, I strive to lead with integrity, compassion, and resilience in both academic and extracurricular settings. I’ve taken rigorous courses including AP African American Studies, AP English Language and Composition, and several honors-level classes in science and humanities, all while participating actively in school clubs and athletics.

Beyond the classroom, I’ve held leadership roles such as Co-Founder of the Falcon Fashion Club and a member of the Business Club, where I represented our school in DECA competitions and helped our student-run store achieve gold certification. As a linebacker on the varsity football team, I’ve learned the value of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. My work experience includes roles at Berryline, Formaggio Kitchen, and Amigos Elementary School—each of which helped me build strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

I am deeply committed to personal growth and community impact, and I hope to bring this same energy, drive, and determination to my future college experience. Receiving financial support will allow me to pursue my education with focus and purpose, as I work toward a career that combines creativity, leadership, and service.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I am passionate about pursuing a career that blends creativity with strategy, which is why I’m deeply interested in both sound design and business marketing. Through my Honors Music Production class, I discovered a love for sound—how it can shape stories, create emotion, and transform digital experiences. At the same time, my involvement in the Business Club and school marketing projects introduced me to the power of branding, communication, and audience engagement. Whether I’m designing audio for media or building a campaign that connects with people, I want to use both artistic and business skills to make an impact in industries that inspire me.

Outside the classroom

Outside of school and work, I enjoy exploring a variety of creative and hands-on hobbies. I’m passionate about music—especially producing beats and experimenting with different sounds, which ties into my interest in sound design. I also love fashion and style, which inspired me to co-found Falcon Fashion at my school. In my free time, I like working on DIY projects, staying active through sports and fitness, and learning about marketing trends and branding strategies through social media and online content. These hobbies allow me to stay creative, curious, and connected to the things I love.
