Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended career path is to become a registered nurse and continue advancing within the nursing profession through experience and higher education. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to gain hands-on clinical experience in a healthcare setting, where I can apply my knowledge, strengthen my patient care skills, and develop confidence in fast-paced, real-world environments.

As I grow in my career, I intend to pursue graduate-level education to become an advanced practice registered nurse, such as a Family Nurse Practitioner or a specialist in a focused area of care. This path will allow me to take on greater responsibility in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment while continuing to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.

My long-term goal is to build a career that combines clinical excellence, leadership, and service. I aspire to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives, contribute positively to healthcare teams, and help address the growing need for skilled and dedicated nursing professionals in my community.

Graduate school interests

My graduate school interests are centered on advancing my education and clinical expertise within the field of nursing. I am particularly interested in pursuing an advanced practice nursing degree, where I can deepen my knowledge in patient care, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based practice. I am exploring specialties that will allow me to make a meaningful impact, such as family nurse practitioner, critical care, or other patient-focused areas that address diverse healthcare needs.

My strong academic foundation, demonstrated by maintaining a 4.0 GPA and earning recognition on the President’s Dean’s List, has prepared me to succeed in a rigorous graduate program. I am especially interested in programs that emphasize hands-on clinical experience, interdisciplinary collaboration, and leadership development within healthcare settings.

In graduate school, I hope to further develop my clinical reasoning, expand my understanding of complex health conditions, and gain the skills necessary to take on greater responsibility in patient care. Ultimately, my goal is to use advanced education to improve patient outcomes, contribute to the healthcare field, and serve my community with competence, compassion, and professionalism.

Outside the classroom

Outside of my academic responsibilities, I enjoy engaging in hobbies that support both my personal well-being and overall balance. I value staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, as it helps me manage stress and stay focused in my studies. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, which allows me to build meaningful relationships and maintain a strong support system.

In addition, I appreciate activities that promote relaxation and mental clarity, such as listening to music, reading, or taking time to unwind after a busy schedule. These hobbies help me recharge and maintain the resilience needed to succeed in a demanding nursing program.

Overall, my hobbies contribute to my personal growth by helping me stay balanced, motivated, and prepared to meet both academic and professional challenges.
