Jamel Jackson

I am attending Georgia Southern University this academic year. I graduated from Warner Robins High school May 22, 2020. I have been focusing on my studies every since 2nd grade because my teacher showed our class what it was like to be on the stage being acknowledged for academic achievement by letting us look at the older students receive their awards. From that moment I always wanted to do well in school to have that same feeling those other kids had. I lived with my grandparents for most of my life along with my three younger brothers. My granddad always hard on me because i had to set a good example for the younger people under me that looked up to me. I appreciate him doing that because encouraged me to get all A's and rewarded me for it. Now i don't need to be rewarded by him to achieve my goals because I became obsessed with wanting to be the best I can be in everything that I do. I received a handful of awards throughout my school career for my academic achievement.
