About
I am currently dual majoring in English and Psychology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh ,Pennsylvania. I intend to further my education after this with a masters degree in the Psych field. My future career interests currently lie in child therapy and play therapy. I was raised in Philpsburg, Pennsylvania, a small rural town, and I have loved the experience of living in such a wonderful city! I was highly involved in high school and continue to be in college. I spent a majority of my time before high school juggling AP classes, numerous band groups, Tri-M Music Honors Society, National Honors Society, Girl Scouts, Academic Decathlon, and an active church life. I held leadership rules in all of extra curricular activities I was in during high school including president of the Academic Decathlon team and of the Tri-M Music Honors Society. My parents helped teach me to balance academic achievement, group leadership, and a passionate faith life. I was also raised with a passion for service! I spent two weeks in 2015 on a mission trip to inner-city Miami and spent my Spring Break in 2017 on a mission trip to Baltimore and Arlington. I also enjoyed gathering more than 100 service hours before high school graduation! My favorite type of service happens during my summers when I spend my time as a counselor for kids Christian church camps, a program which I have been involved with since before my first birthday. I am just as active in my campus community, holding the communications and advertising position in Crossroads Christian campus group, recently elected as editor-in-chief for the Duquesne yearbook for the 2017-2018 school year, and having completed a mission trip with Campus Spiritan Ministries, all while balancing 18 credits both of my first two semesters here on campus! I love my life here at Duquense and all of the opportunities college has provided for me succeed!
