About
I will begin my college education in June 2016 at California State University Stanislaus in Turlock, CA. I am studying to be an elementary school teacher, perferably first grade. I grew up in Watsonville, CA where my parents own a 12 1/2 ranch and a feed store. When I was in my last year of elementary school I realized I wanted to be a teacher, and since then I have always dreamed of having a job as an elementary school teacher. My patience and love for children is a lot. I have done a lot of volunteer work at elementary schools, mainly in first grade classrooms. I chose to attend Stanislaus because of its high and strong liberal studies education, I hope to make a difference in the future of our elementary school children.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am studying liberal studies to become an elementary school teacher. I am planning to teach first grade level.
- Graduate school interests
Once I complete my bachelors degree I plan to get my masters in liberal studies.
- Outside the classroom
I love my Portuguese culture and am very proud of it. I have my own Portuguese dance group that I am in charge of and choreograph our dances. In March 2015 I began singing Fado, and have performed at several festivals. I hope to continue with my journey of Fado which I love very much. I am also the 2015-2016 president of the Portuguese Committee Fatima Festival in Watsonville. On my spare time I go volunteer in first grade classrooms which I enjoy so much.
