About
Hello, I'm Janely Saenz. I am a first-generation American and college student. I started my academic career at Frederick Community College where I made the deans list and graduated with my A.A. in Sociology. From there, I started working to save up money for University. I am currently working at Monocacy Valley Montessori public charter school as a Special Education Instructional Assistant. I support students K-12 with writing, reading comprehension, math, self management, and social/emotional learning. Although I enjoy working with children, I am working towards my career goals, pursuing my B.A. in Business. I would like to work for the government or with Non-profit Organizations. I am very ambitious and enjoy gaining knowledge of the world around me.

deans list
During my time at Frederick community college, I was on the deans list in the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020. During this time we were transitioning to online classes due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am ambitious when it comes to my future career path. With this B.A. in Business I will be earning, I believe it is a stepping stone towards my goals. I am interested in working for the government, specifically with embassies or hopefully work with the INT. I am also interested in working for Non-profit organizations such as National Geographic and World Wildlife fund.
- Graduate school interests
As I have been researching Graduate programs, I find myself leaning towards graduate programs involving Global affairs. I know that John Hopkins and the American University offer these graduate programs. I have also looked into graduate programs for Marketing.
- Outside the classroom
My hobbies include dance, I was apart of a collegiate dance troupe at my last school. I also love to read, I read daily. I enjoy all outdoor activities. whether it be fishing, hiking, swimming, or gardening. I consider myself a cinephile, and love to review films. And a hobby I most enjoy is singing. In my dreams I am an Opera singer.
