JaQuiondia Banks

My name is JaQuiondia Banks, and I am currently attending William Rainey Harper College with the goal of building a solid foundation for my future academic endeavors. I plan to continue my education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the fall of 2025, where I will pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Personal Finance. This particular field resonates with me because it combines my personal interest in financial literacy with my desire to serve others in a meaningful way. By developing a deep understanding of money management, investment strategies, and financial planning, I hope to empower not only myself, but also those around me who may feel overwhelmed by the complexities of personal finance.

My passion for this career path stems from recognizing how crucial financial well-being is to overall quality of life. Throughout my studies, I have learned that many people struggle to navigate their finances, often due to a lack of guidance or accessible resources. By earning a degree in Personal Finance, I aim to bridge this gap by offering practical, informed advice and solutions that can help individuals and families improve their financial outlook. Whether it is creating a budget, exploring investment options, or planning for retirement, my goal is to ensure that everyone I work with feels confident and secure in their decisions.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I am committed to enhancing my leadership and communication skills so that I can become an effective advisor. My experiences at William Rainey Harper College and participating in group projects, engaging in student organizations, and volunteering have taught me the value of teamwork, empathy, and active listening.
