Upon getting accepted to Tarleton State, I determined that I wanted to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science with a concentration in Production. I am also working on getting the Equine Science certificate since there’s no equine degree program. I wish to one day own my own rehabilitation or adoption center for horses. Many people believe that once a horse gets hurt, sick, or too old that it doesn’t have a purpose anymore so they send them to a slaughter house. I strongly disagree with this concept, therefore I want to help make a way to reduce this problem.
