About
I am currently a student in Northern Arizona University in the small town of Yuma, Arizona. I will be earning my Bachelor's degree in Science-Public Health. I grew up in Douglas, Arizona, as a child I dreamed of being a dance teacher bur as I grew up I developed an interest in health science. Coming from Mexican parents, we as a family thought I would not be able to earn a degree in any health science field without getting myself into massive debt (yes, even with the help of FASFA). The older I got, the more determined I became to achieve my dream of earning a degree. After long research, I came across the Public Health field and the variety of workforce behind it. Once I chose this major I was surprised how much I truly was enjoying my classes and how excited I was for my future. I believe in education, in helping the community, and understand how our surroundings all relies on data. Earning a degree in this major will challenge me to learn more and not only better my education, but educate my community and help in areas of need thanks to data that is recorded throughout time.
