Jasmine Ruffin

My name is Jasmine Ruffin and I am a junior majoring in Deaf Studies with a concentration in Deaf Education and Sign Language interpreting. On campus, I am a member of the CSUN Honors Program, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Intervarsity Christian Ministry. I am originally from Irvine, California, which is where I discovered my passion for Deaf Culture and connected with the Deaf Community. During my free time, I enjoy going to the SRC and the Wellness Center to relax and have a good workout. I love to read up on the latest world news and find interesting articles regarding Deaf Education and the Deaf community. My goal is to become a teacher for the Deaf as well as a certified sign language interpreter. I believe everyone is capable of achieving success and the key is to find your motivation and appreciate those who support you.
