Jasmine Tran

I'm a high school senior passionate about computers, electronics, and tech. Serving as FRC team captain, I foster award-winning teamwork and technical skill-building as the only girl on my robotics team. My team won BeachBlitz in 2024, was finalists at Ventura County Regionals in 2025, and received the Sustainability Award at San Gabriel Valley Districts in 2026.

I also aim to expand access to STEM and technology. I'm the co-founder and president of my school's Technology Student Association (TSA), a tech-centered CTSO that my school had previously lacked, and the secretary of OA Code, where I plan hands-on Arduino and Python projects for beginners. Moreover, I serve as the student program lead for the Cypress Sr. Center Tech Help Program, where I organize a team of volunteers to help the elderly navigate their devices to improve their quality of life.

With that, I've gotten involved in research with sci-MI, proposed AI-powered telehealth solutions as a student intern at Kaiser Permanente, and even worked on developing video games—participating in a few game jams as well. On the side, I love solving Sudoku puzzles, aristocrat ciphers, and cryptic crosswords!

In the future, I plan to study EECS (electrical engineering and computer science). I'm working towards being in a technical role developing equitable technology and solutions to lower barriers for the underserved.
