Jason Coryell

Hi there, my name is Jason Coryell from St. Louis. I’m a Korean American originally born in South Korea but was later adopted at two years old and brought to the states. I now live life with my adoptive family attending Francis Howell High School where I continue to excel in my studies in hopes to do something amazing with my life. Throughout my time in my studies I learned that community was the greatest gift I could receive. Be it the family that took me in or the friends, teachers, and others that grew around me, I realized that community had helped bring me up to be the man I am today.
Finding what I wanted to do with myself was not an easy task. To say I was a jack of all trades was an understatement during my high school career. Later on during my sophomore year I believed computer science was what I wanted to major in. It was a career on the rise with a huge need for new talent. However, my love for music also had a large impact on what I wanted to do with my life. I realized that mixing my two passions in computers and music was very much a possibility. I started on my path to audio engineering in hopes to make a name for myself and impact the music community.
Music has been such a large part of my life and I only hope that I may succeed in my career path with music. I’ve worked long and hard at school, giving up many hours of time to excel in hopes that I can do something amazing in the future. My current prospective college is MTSU in Murfreesboro. I am going into their prestigious audio engineering degree and I am very excited for my future within. With my mind set and a solid mindset to work hard, I am very excited for what the future has in store for me.
