About
I was born in Jamaica and left in 2006 to pursue mission work and higher education at Niagara College, overcoming significant financial hardships as an international student. Every dollar I earned went toward tuition, and I often relied on church support for basic needs, yet I persevered and completed my studies, later earning a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, graduating magna cum laude. These experiences shaped my passion for serving marginalized communities, single mothers, and young men in need of guidance. I have also advocated for individuals experiencing homelessness by raising awareness and collaborating with law enforcement, even participating in police ride-alongs to better understand the challenges faced on the streets. My goal is to use my education to be a voice for the voiceless, develop community initiatives, and advocate for systemic change. Receiving this scholarship would alleviate financial barriers, allowing me to focus fully on advancing my education and expanding my impact in creating compassionate and empowered communities.
