About

Hi!
My name is Jaycee Brake, and I will be attending my final semester at Roger's State University starting in January. I will graduate with a Bachelor's in Business Management/Accounting Option. I am very grateful of the education I have received over these past few years, and want to continue my education after my Bachelor's to achieve enough credits to be eligible for the CPA exam. I did receive Fafsa for majority of my schooling; however, I was recently married in October of 2018 and had to start paying for college in full. So, I have continued to work hard and make an effort to get through these last semesters with flying colors. I appreciate all the professors and staff that has guided me.
I live in Bartlesville, and I work part-time at a bank in town. I enjoy social activities and events like Young Professionals of Bartlesville, but also like to settle down with a good book. I try my hardest to stay involved with some charitable organizations such as United Way and Boys and Girls Club when I have the opportunity. I am ready to finish up my schooling and start on my career at Ernst & Young. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Honor Society, and I am appreciative of all the benefits that come along with that.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I will finish up my Bachelor's in May of 2020. I will continue to take upper division accounting courses to be eligible for the CPA exam that I will need for a future job prospect. I have accepted an internship with Ernst & Young in the summer of 2021, and I plan to start my career path there afterwards.

Graduate school interests

If I were to decide to pursue my Master's, I would consider Oklahoma State University because I have noticed that they have an excellent curriculum, and a lot of companies scout out students from OSU.

Outside the classroom

My current hobbies would consist of keeping up with my fitness, enjoying time with friends and family when the opportunity is available, trying to find new things to do or create, and other activities that involve getting up and going.
