About

My professional achievements transcend traditional nursing. I own the Central Florida Veterans Thrift Store, a venture that aids and honors our local Veterans. This endeavor closely aligns with my values of kindness, compassion, and community service. As an ARNP, I currently specialize in Rheumatology. I envision a future where I establish my practice, focusing on holistic health for underprivileged community members.
Pursuing knowledge is not only for self-enhancement but also to improve the lives of the community I serve. As I navigate the challenging transition from ARNP to Doctoral Nurse Practitioner, my academic pursuits at South University are pivotal. Their Conceptual Framework Pillars equip me with the expertise to deliver complex medical care with competence and empathy. Each course in the DNP program has been meticulously designed to apply scientific findings to clinical practice, emphasizing outcomes management, which aligns seamlessly with my aspiration to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care.
My aim is to empower my patients, enabling them to understand and navigate the medical landscape. My recent endeavors in Rheumatology/Immunology pose their unique challenges. Still, my academic journey is shaping me to overcome these, emphasizing a deep-seated understanding of parametric analytical analyses in public health practice, multiple regression techniques, and specific response variable evaluation.
My primary focus, the final scholarly project, underscores practical problems within specific populations or organizations. This is where my personal and professional goals converge, allowing me to channel my knowledge towards the unique interests and requirements of my patients.
Conclusion
As I continue my journey, with the unwavering support of my beloved family, especially my granddaughter Nova Lee LeClair and my best friend and husband Stuart, I am constantly reminded of the broader goal. It is not just about degrees and designations, but the difference one can make in the lives of others. The journey is long, but with passion and perseverance, I strive to improve the health and healing of all in my care, holding myself and my peers to the highest standards of excellence and empathy.
