About

I began my current academic program, a Master of Science in Integrated Supply Chain Management at the University of Wisconsin – Platteville, in September 2022. This will be my second master’s degree as I completed a Master of Tourism Administration in 2009 at George Washington University. I found my first master’s program exciting and challenging and anticipate the same for my second. After my first semester at UW-Platteville, I have a 4.0 GPA. At George Washington, I was on the Dean’s List many times and graduated summa cum laude. Later, as an alumna, I joined the board of directors for the GW Tourism Alumni Network, an alumni team devoted to encouraging continual participation from program alumni worldwide. For undergraduate studies at the University of Louisville, I was also on the Dean’s list many times and graduated cum laude. There, my activities included leadership positions within Sigma Kappa Sorority, membership in Order of Omega, and various other organizations and clubs.
On the alumnae side of Sigma Kappa, after undergraduate graduation, I immediately joined the Greater Louisville Alumnae chapter where I was elected to the role of Vice President of Programming (2002-2004). Two years later, I took on the role of Alumnae President (2004-2009) concurrently with the Vice President of Finance (2004-present). I stepped down from President in 2009 while attending graduate school at George Washington University. In 2013, after the chapter had a dormant year and a half, I worked closely (as VPF) with D4's Alumnae District Director to restructure the alumnae chapter and bring it back into full membership. In those three years, the chapter went from eight dues-paying members to 40 members (NHQ dues & local dues). I've consistently been on the executive council of the Greater Louisville Alumnae chapter since 2002. In 2020 the chapter nominated me for, and the national council graciously awarded me, the Ernestine Duncan Collins Pearl Court award, which is awarded for sustained chapter leadership and being the backbone of the chapter. I also stayed active with the Indiana University Southeast (Zeta Alpha) chapter as an advisor from 2003-2008. In 2012 I was selected by the National Council to be on the advisory board for the newly colonized Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis (Kappa Psi) chapter and was appointed the Advisory Board Supervisor position from 2012-2016. It was a lot of work - especially as a brand-new chapter - but it was so rewarding! I stepped down in 2016 to serve in a few Sigma Kappa Foundation roles from 2017 - 2020 as collegiate philanthropic supervisor (for D4) and alumnae connector (for D4 and D5). My current role is as Alumnae District Director for District 5, which oversees Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio and 13 alumnae chapters.
Professionally at Tri-Arrows Aluminum, I have transitioned from our commercial team, handling customer accounts, to the planning team, handling forecast planning, production planning, and coated products. Beginning this year, I was also selected to be on a team for a two-year Order to Cash project, which will both align our needs with wants and drastically alter how our company works.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I have worked for my company for ten years this coming March 2023. My current path began in account management, handling two large accounts for rolled can sheet. Since 2020, I've focused on supply chain management and production planning for over 800 million pounds a year. I began this M.S. in Integrated Supply Chain Management to both learn more about the industry as well as ensure my company has continuity when other employees retire.

Graduate school interests

I am a distance student as my school is in Wisconsin and I am in Indiana. Since I began this degree in fall 2022 I haven't yet researched all the opportunities for involvement. For my first master's degree (graduated in 2009 from George Washington University with a Masters in Tourism Administration), I was actively involved in our alumni network board of directors, where I served as both VP of Communications and VP of Membership.

Outside the classroom

Trivia, board games, cooking, spending time with family, animals and traveling.
