About

Mrs. Treglown holds a Master of Education degree in Reading and Literature, with an emphasis on K-8 elementary education. She was part of the first cohort of students at Oregon State University to complete the double degree program, earning a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science with a focus on Early Childhood Development and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a focus on English Language Learners. Mrs. Treglown received the College of Education’s Creativity Award for establishing the first group of student ambassadors for the double-degree program at Oregon State University. She graduated with honors and was on the Human Development Department Dean’s list.

Mrs. Treglown aims to identify the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health and anxiety of elementary students aged 3 to 8. She recognizes that the push to meet academic benchmarks often overlooks stressors and anxiety, which can lead to behavior issues and neglect of social-emotional learning. Her long-term goal is to explore how classroom teachers can best support students and how social-emotional skills can be effectively taught. This will provide students with the necessary strategies to manage their behaviors and emotions independently.
