About

The graduate course that has allowed me to receive a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Film Producing was attained from the University of Melbourne - Victorian College of the Arts. The program consisted of three semesters that allowed me to learn the theoretical functions of productions: pre-production, production, and post production; how to create a budget, analyze a script, pitch a project, and process required paperwork and official documents. It then allowed us to take that knowledge and apply it to real life productions. During this process I was able to successfully produce five short films that all told a persuasive story. The final process taught us what to do once a project is complete, where to take it, and how to get it seen among the masses. We learned our legal rights as film makers as well as the various avenues that are available to getting a project into the mainstream. The course successfully showed the nuts and bolts on how to start, run, and complete a production, a priceless format that will never be forgotten.
