About

A science-minded leader with a background in management, data analysis, and astrophysics, actively pursuing a Master of Science in Information Management (MSIM) with Data Science emphasis. I've run large optical machines, wrangled simulation data, and presented research findings to the Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium. I've managed people and projects, and my responsibilities have ranged from estimation, procurement, hiring, accounting, and schedule writing to customer service. I am a lifelong learner and confronting new challenges is something I actively strive for.

My mission is to become a driving force behind ethical, data-driven decision-making in a world saturated with information. I recognize - and highly value - the people behind the process and technology. If you share that passion, I invite you to connect with me.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My goal is to become a data analyst, preferably for a company such as SpaceX or Microsoft. When I started on this grad school path I mainly wanted to combat misinformation, possibly at some place like the FBI, but I believe an analyst suits my personality best. My current Master's program places heavy emphasis on managing and leading, so I hope to lead a team of data scientists one day.

Graduate school interests

I am actively trying to become a part of the University of Washington's Center For an Informed Public (CIP), and I've been keeping very busy earning certifications concurrently with with my coursework studies. I am also trying to put my new data visualization skills to the test by volunteering for Viz for Social Good.
