About
I am a returning student after working 9 years in the field of Nursing. In 2007, I graduated with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. I am happy with my choice as I feel the Associate's program provided better clinical preparation. I spent all 9 years in the Emergency Department. As my career progressed, I have seen downfalls in patient throughput and hospital policies. This has prompted my interest in furthering my education. My goal is to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Science of Nursing and continue to obtain a Masters Degree.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I currently work Per Diem as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. I am attending WSU-V and enrolled in courses that will lead me to a Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing (BSN). I intend on furthering my career and becoming a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). With a CNS degree, I will provide evidenced-based practice to both patients and staff members to improve the nursing process.
- Graduate school interests
I am interested in finding a grad school that provides a Master's of Science in Nursing solely online. The program must include clinical aspects are required to progress to a Clinical Nurse Specialist Degree.
- Outside the classroom
The majority of my time is spent with my family. I have a two boys, ages 2.5 y/o and 7 months. Hobbies include outdoor activities, running, fishing, exercising. I like to cook healthy meals. Sew when I have time.
