About

I am a very motivated person who wants to help people. I play violin, cello, and piano. My main focus is violin but I play it more like a fiddle than a violin. I have studied Celtic music that involves music from the Quebec, France, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, England, and even gypsy music. I studied under Mark O' Connor, Jamie Laval, Liz Knowles, and Seamus Connolly. I was also asked to play in several venues such as the Singing Christmas Tree, Phantom of the Opera, many house opening parties. I also participated in the Union Symphony Youth Orchestra for three years. In which I become the leader of a Celtic String group called, Ceildh Strings. I was also the president of the Junior Guild that was associated with the orchestra. I fell in love with this particular genre because the stories that are behind the stories can be heard throughout the tune. I want to do something with music and people. Therefore I decided to pursue a degree in Music Therapy.
Although other than just music, I enjoy running, reading, working with large animals, and working period. I worked on a llama farm for three years where I learned a lot things, one being patience. I found another job that allowed me to be in front of people which I also enjoy. I am a server at a steakhouse and I enjoy it because I am able to talk to people and serve people. I know it sounds weird but being in front of people, whether on a stage or just standing at a table, I feel very comfortable. I am a major people person, must be because of my performer background.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend to purpose a career as a music therapist and I plan to be stationed at a veteran's hospital. I want to work with veterans because they are close to my heart. My great uncle was a Navajo Code Talker in World War II and ever since he passed away, I go out of my way to help veterans. I want to work with them with music and help them with memory skills, physical motor skills, as well as communication and self- esteem skills.
Although if I can not find a job as a music therapist, I plan on enlisting in the National Guard.
