About
Since I was young, I was labeled an academically gifted student, which was a big deal as I grew up in a relatively rural county in central Georgia - Putnam. Not because I was "smarter" than others - no, I was far from that - but because I understood the information taught much quicker than some may have expected from someone my age. Since then, I have participated in several advanced academic programs, such as the Georgia Department of Education's Gifted Program and what my school system named the SAGE Program. These programs allowed me to be in a classroom with like-minded peers so I could flourish. I have taken immense pride in these opportunities. I will not let it go to waste. Thus, I have dedicated myself dutifully to my studies and plan to use my skills in the forensic field once I graduate college.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to attend a public university in my current town to earn a bachelor's degree in biochemistry with a focus on forensic science. I have a long path ahead of me, but I plan to work in the local police department upon graduation to earn experience in the field before moving up to the state crime lab.
- Outside the classroom
I'm a huge video game nerd, so I can mostly be seen playing in competitive games with my friends. However, I also enjoy reading and singing. I am a part of my school's chorus and go on several trips to perform. A hobby I haven't touched on in a while is violin, but I hope to regain my skill with the instrument later on in life!
Volunteering

Whenever needed, I stay after school for at least an hour or two to help the theatre students put together their performance. Iam considered "tech crew" in a way, but I mainly help make the props, costumes, and provide insights on to how the overall performance can be improved whether it be acting, casting, creativity, or visuals.

At ARF, I am an everything person. On the weekends, when I am able I help out at the shelter, I stay from 10:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. My usual tasks range from unfolding newspapers for lining the animal enclosures to even bottle-feeding the puppies and kitties that are unfortunately left outside of the shelter. I mainly walk the dogs, wash dishes, and help clean the cat room every Saturday.
