About

I am a finance and public-sector professional with a strong commitment to service, leadership, and community involvement. I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Flagler College in 2014 and currently serve as the Chief Financial Officer for the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, where I oversee budgeting, financial operations, compliance, and executive-level fiscal planning. My role extends beyond traditional finance functions, supporting operational readiness and continuity during critical incidents and emergency response situations.

I have been actively involved in community and youth-focused service through ongoing volunteer work with 4-H, the Boys & Girls Club, and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. I was recognized as an Honorary Deputy for my dedication to the Sheriff’s Office and direct support during three major hurricane events within a thirteen-month period, where I assisted with call center setup, logistics coordination, and resource allocation while working extended hours alongside operational staff, remaining on duty even as my family evacuated despite not being a sworn officer.

Outside of work, I enjoy technology-driven projects such as coding and building server and network systems, as well as cooking and strategy-based games. Most importantly, I value my role as a husband and father to two boys, which keeps my professional goals grounded in responsibility, balance, and long-term perspective.

Goals and interests

Career goal

plan to pursue senior finance or compliance leadership roles within the private sector, and I am particularly interested in opportunities within the travel and hospitality industry. I am also open to roles in other mission-driven or highly regulated organizations where my background in public-sector financial management, regulatory compliance, and operational leadership can add value, while continuing to challenge myself professionally and expand my perspective.

Graduate school interests

I am currently pursuing a Juris Master (JM) in Financial Law and Regulation at Florida State University, with a strong interest in the intersection of finance, regulatory compliance, and organizational governance. My graduate studies are focused on strengthening my understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks that support effective financial leadership in both public- and private-sector environments.

Outside the classroom

n my personal time, I enjoy community involvement and youth mentorship, as well as working on technology-focused projects such as coding and building server and network systems, which allow me to continuously develop problem-solving and technical skills. I have a strong interest in financial strategy and policy analysis and enjoy staying engaged with issues that affect public service and organizational leadership. Outside of work, I value time spent cooking, playing strategy-based and tabletop games, and being a husband and father to two boys, which keeps me grounded and focused on balance, responsibility, and long-term perspective.
