Jonathan Benson

I will be an undergraduate student at the University of North Dakota, in Grand Forks, ND come late August to major in Commercial Aviation. My dream job is to become a commercial airlines pilot in the skyrocketing airline industry, and to share the benefits with my current and future family. I grew up in Farmington, MN living a fun life with all my neighborhood friends. My family rarely left the state for vacations, as our vacations were few and far between; but whenever we traveled someplace far on a plane, I remembered those travels much more fondly. This realization of my love for planes inspired my choice to major in Commercial Aviation as well as my choice to study at the University of North Dakota. I would have loved to stay closer to home at a university, but ultimately I decided on going to UND, as their aviation programs are renowned as the best in the country. I am blessed to have a very supportive family behind me, which encourages me to continue going forward.
