Goals and interests

Career goal

My ultimate goal after graduating college is to commission as a U.S. Army Officer in the finance, cybersecurity, or intelligence branch. My achievements to date—such as maintaining strong academic performance, developing leadership skills through campus and community involvement, and pursuing relevant coursework—directly support this objective. In addition, I have actively sought and been accepted into internships aligned with my degree program, allowing me to gain hands-on experience and deepen my expertise in these sectors. These accomplishments have built a strong foundation of discipline, technical knowledge, and practical skills that will enable me to succeed both as an officer and in my chosen branch specialty.

Graduate school interests

My ultimate educational goal is to attain a Master of Business Administration or a master’s degree in finance, complemented by professional certifications in personal financial planning. This pursuit aligns with my long-term vision of leveraging my military leadership experience to serve others in civilian life—specifically, by helping individuals in need build secure and sustainable retirement plans. My academic achievements to date, including consistent Dean’s List recognition, rigorous coursework in finance, and pursuit of a minor in Russian, reflect my commitment to advanced study. Additionally, my leadership development through Army ROTC, the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets, and community service projects has strengthened the analytical, ethical, and interpersonal skills essential for success in the financial sector. By integrating graduate-level education, specialized certifications, and the discipline cultivated through military service, I will be fully prepared to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I assist after my Army career.
