About
My name is Jonathan Urias. I have lived in Richmond, VA for the entirety of my life, due to my parents moving from El Salvador before I was born. My parents have always been supportive of my endeavors and only wish for my success. In my early life, I performed excellently in school and earned a place in the honor society and earned multiple awards thanks to my elementary school guidance counselor. At the same time, I also helped my father with his commercial electrical contracting business, which instilled in me the discipline, work ethic, and business knowledge needed in entrepreneurship. Today, I am studying computer science at Brightpoint Community College, set to graduate with my AS in Computer Science summer of 2024. My plans are to continue education at a university in order to receive my BS in Computer Science and become a Software Engineer. I must admit that I've completely fallen in love with the field, and continue studying not only in my classes, but independently with online resources.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to get a job as a Software Engineer, specifically in the web development field. With the experience I gain from working in the tech field, along with the people I meet, I plan on starting my own business.
- Outside the classroom
Something I like to do in my spare time is to learn different technologies utilized in software development and create my own projects. Furthermore, I like to stay healthy by exercising at least four times a week and maintaining a healthy diet. Among other things, I have a deep appreciation for music and arts.
