About
My name is Jordan Magruder and I plan on becoming a Speech and Language Pathologist. I am currently attending Stephen F. Austin State University for my bachelors degree in Communication Disorders. I was raised in a small town in East Texas. I have plenty of job experience from working in the fast food industry to working in at a bank. My grades and my job are my top two priorities. My grades are most important to me however. I enjoy spending most of my time studying and working. I currently work at a pharmacy and continue to increase my knowledge about different medications. I believe that it is important to become knowledgeable in different areas of one's life while having a passion for helping others. I have chosen to become a Speech Pathologist in the hopes of impacting people of all ages and different walks of life. I believe a life spent helping others is a life well lived.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am going to Stephen F. Austin with hopes of becoming a Speech and Language Pathologist. I plan on earning my bachelors degree first and then practice as an assistant SLP for a short period before applying to graduate school.
- Graduate school interests
I plan on attending grad school soon after I graduate with my bachelors degree from Stephen F. Austin University. I plan on applying for different graduate programs both in and out of the state of Texas. Graduate school for me is not only a desire but my top priority.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy reading and studying articles related to my major. I have recently started working at a pharmacy and I have enjoyed learning about the different medications. Overall, I like to make the most of every opportunity I have to increase my knowledge in different areas. I have a passion for helping people. Exercise and sports are important to me as well. Soccer, volleyball, and softball are my favorite sports. I also like to be creative and take on crafts, such as making my own wreaths for each season.
