Jose Gonzalez-Tort

After completing my bachelor’s degree in Biology, I plant to take the MCAT and attend medical school. Following my medical training and board examinations, I aim to specialize in a field such as orthopedics or sports medicine. In the long run, I aim to work in both clinal and hospital settings, where I can help patients recover from injuries, and live healthier.

I plan to attend medical school in Puerto Rico after completing my undergraduate degree. My goal is to become a physician who serves and supports my community on the island. Many medical professionals leave Puerto Rico in search of better financial opportunities, and I want to be part of the effort to strengthen local healthcare by staying and providing high-quality medical care to those who need it most.

In my free time, I like to indulge into things that will either contribute to my future, or help my health. Therefore, part of my hobbies are playing sports like basketball, golf, or football, working out, talking with friends, participating in medical camps/organizations, etc.
