About

I am an Early Childhood and Elementary Education major at Queens College with a strong commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and community service. As a first-generation college student from Ecuador, my journey of learning English inspired me to become a bilingual educator who supports diverse learners. With a 3.8 GPA, I strive to maintain high academic standards while actively participating in campus organizations and volunteer work. My goal is to create inclusive classrooms where students feel valued, confident, and proud of their cultural identity. Through dedication and perseverance, I aim to make a meaningful impact in the field of education.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I plan to become a bilingual elementary school teacher. My goal is to support multilingual learners and create inclusive classrooms where students feel safe, respected, and confident in their abilities. I want to help children who struggle with language barriers, just as I once did, and guide them toward academic success.

Graduate school interests

I am interested in pursuing a Master’s degree in Bilingual Education or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). As someone who learned English as a second language, I want to specialize in supporting multilingual learners and helping them feel confident in both their academic skills and their identity.
