My dreams are to become a social worker and inspire many people so they will one day have a positive and significant impact on others. In order to do so I always search for ways to better and humble myself. For example, I coordinate a mentoring program to help at risk youth build life skills. Skills such as leadership, ability to plan ahead, self-reliance and many more. I also studied abroad in Barcelona because I want to learn Spanish. I am interested in learning Spanish because my city has a strong population of Latin American and African American youth that are suffering through poverty and lack of education. As a bilingual social worker I will be able to provide more value when working with families within my community. I am fully motivated to give back to my city and the youth that need it. I will not let anything stop or discourage me because I am doing this for the sake of my family, friends, and those I intend to help in the future.
