About
I’m a bilingual registered nurse and PMHNP graduate student at Franklin University (4.0 GPA last semester; expected graduation 2028) focused on expanding evidence-based, culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health care for underserved communities. I earned my BSN with a 3.96 GPA (summa cum laude; dean’s list) and previously completed an MD in Quito, Ecuador (3.69 GPA), which shaped my diagnostic foundation and cross-cultural clinical perspective. I currently work as a bilingual Medical Information Specialist at Inizio supporting patients in English and Spanish with medication support and adverse event reporting, and I have a long record of community service in both Ecuador and the U.S

Goals and interests
- Career goal
After graduating from Franklin University’s PMHNP program in 2028, I plan to practice as a bilingual psychiatric provider in outpatient and community mental health settings, focusing on evidence-based treatment that is culturally and linguistically appropriate for underserved communities. As I gain experience, I want to help develop programs and workflows that make it easier for Spanish-speaking patients to access consistent, high-quality care, including through telehealth when appropriate.

In my free time, I stay grounded through music and movement. I’m a drummer and have released music with a band on Spotify, and I practice capoeira because it combines rhythm, strength, and community. I also enjoy challenging hikes like Cotopaxi and use travel and friendships across cultures to keep learning new perspectives
