About
I am currently a senior at Purdue University, my educational goal is to learn all I can while at Purdue, to stretch my creative ability, to try new things and to go beyond my comfort zone. My career aspirations are to work in the arts; to combine my love of flowers and my love of painting together, whether that would be to one day have my own little shop, to work in an art museum, or to express myself creatively in some other aspect.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My Mom said it all started early in my childhood, my passion for flowers when I would put on my boots in the morning after a summer’s due to go out and smell the peonies, I feel my life’s work has prepared me for my studies in what I would do in my future goals. I was a florist for many years, designing flowers. Flowers are the passion of my work, all kinds of flowers if I can’t design them I’ll print them or paint them. Painting has become my biggest passion, I like trying new things even things out of my comfort zone, and I want to learn all aspects of painting so I will be prepared once I leave Purdue University. I have taken two Painting classes; Beginning and Intermediate, and three Printmaking classes; Intaglio Etching1, II and Silk Screen, and I plan to take one more Painting class before I leave to gain all the knowledge I can.

In high school the highlight for me was my 10 years of 4-H: I took arts and crafts, foods, clothing, dress review, home furnishing, and flower arranging, I even tried out for 4-H Queen. I went to the State Fair several times with my projects over the years. In high school I sang in the Girls Glee Club, participated in a variety show, I also sang in the choruses of the Musicals: Once Upon a Mattress, Little Abner, and Bye Bye Birdie. I displayed art work in the high school art shows. I also was a member of the youth choir at church.
I have had an adopted daughter through Childfund International in the Philippines, since the late 8o's. I am now on my 5th or 6th child. I have sung in The Covenant Choir since 1991, and with Sweet Adeline's from 1991-2003. I have been involved in Civic Theatre since 2003, acting and ushering. Some of the productions I have been in include: The Music Man, Carousel, Quilters, My Fair Lady, The King and I, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cabaret, Mame, and presently I am in Oliver. I have also done a couple productions with Tippecanoe Players, one of which was Grease. In 2003 I also joined Strolling Singers, a group that sings at the Feast and Mississinewa Festivals, which has allowed me the opportunity to sing in french. Each Christmas since 2003 I have played the Ghost of Christmas Past in the Dickens of a Christmas Carol, which is performed in downtown Lafayette. The last 4 or 5 years I have been in a singing group called (AC3) All Campus and Community Chorale, which is half students and community. Being apart of this group enables us to be a part in the Cantata of the PMO Christmas Show.
