About
My name is Julian Moreno I am a wildlife biology major at Texas State University. I am working to become a wildlife biologist focused on conservation and habitat restoration. Through learning about ecosystems and the interactions between animals I am aiming to create a more ecologically friendly world. My dream is to save at least one species from extinction all while teaching people on why these animals are amazing and deserve to exist.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
A professional wildlife biologist, and as a researcher. I want to work both in the field and in active research.
- Graduate school interests
I am planning on going to graduate school and eventually earn my PHD. The only hurdle for grad school personally is paying for it without accruing debt.
- Outside the classroom
I love to go for hikin/camping trips, so far the best trip has been to Big Bend National park. I used to be an art major before switching to wildlife biology but I still do art as a hobby.

This job was at The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment. I worked as a tour guide on both land and the glass bottom boats, teaching the public about the local environment and water conservation. My other duties included being a crew lead that would manage the team, caring for the aquarium, and leading recreational tours.

Caretaker
I was a sanctuary caretaker for a wildlife rescue center here in Texas. I worked with both native and exotic species by providing a healthy home for them. If the species could not survive in the wild we gave it a home. If the native species could be rehabed we would help it recover and release it back into the wild.
