About

Hello! My name is Julianne and I am a Maryland Native (and yes we do love Old Bay and our Flag that much). I grew up on Kent Island right in the Chesapeake Bay spending much of my childhood summers out on the water. I was fortunate enough to learn the importance hard work from a young age and watching those in my community taught me that while we may not have the fanciest or the most luxurious things, we appreciate what we have and those around us who would give us the shirt of their back if we need it. My family has a long history of working hard and my brother and I were no exception as we've been working since the ages of 15 and 14 respectively. My father has been an automotive technician since he was 17 and my mother has been in customer service management and was formerly in restaurant management. My paternal grandfather is a retired Baltimore City Fireman and my maternal grandfather retired from politics in economic development at the age of 68. I've watched my family work for everything they have and how rewarding it has been for them. While in high school, I played on the varsity softball team as a starter all 4 years and held a part-time job. I graduated from Kent Island High School in 2017 and started working full-time the following August. I graduated from Anne Arundel Community College in 2022 while working full-time with my Associates of Science in Health, Fitness, and Exercise Science, becoming the first person in my family to attend and graduate college. My family and I have always played sports where we have all had our share of injuries but these experiences lead me into a love of working within the field of athletics. While working in an outpatient physical therapy clinic with therapists that specialized in return to sport programs, I started to find my passion of athletic injury prevention and rehabilitation. I currently attend East Stroudsburg University where I am majoring in Athletic Training in their Professional Practice Program and I plan on attending graduate school for my Master's degree in Athletic Training and have interest in pursuing a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. I'm an avid sports fan with my favorite professional teams being the Washington Capitals hockey team and the Baltimore Orioles baseball team.
