About
I am a current graduate student earning an MS in Nonprofit Administration from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. I also work as Executive Assistant for a historic theater at which I formerly served as a volunteer during shows. In my position at the Capitol Theatre I work to promote, not only our programming, but also the wide variety of artistic businesses in our small city of Rome. With our former industrial economy essentially having been shattered, I aim to inspire residents toward a more positive vision of what Rome could be in the near future. As the theater's volunteer coordinator (as well as having been a volunteer coordinator at a homeless shelter during my AmeriCorps term), I am also heavily involved in supporting local volunteerism.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I would like to advance my career in the field of nonprofit administration, particularly in nonprofit development (grant writing, capital campaign development, etc.). I enjoy supporting agencies which focus on local economic development since I have always lived in small cities affected negatively by urban renewal initiatives and deindustrialization.
- Graduate school interests
I am pursuing a graduate degree online from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in nonprofit administration.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy improving my Spanish and Hebrew skills and reading primarily classic literature. I also spend a good deal of time researching ways to fulfill another of my lifelong dreams: volunteering abroad.
