Julio Faciolince Parra

I worked in the oil and gas industry as a production engineer in Colombia, where I had the chance to be part of some sustainability projects in the oil field. After that I changed my focus and start to make research in solar energy. Now I will start an internship with a solar Energy Company, helping with the corporate development. In the future, I would like to found my own company of renewable energy projects, focusing also on these kind of projects in the oil field because that is a good opportunity to develop technological advances, and also the real "Energy Transition" is where the two ways of producing energy (renewable and non-renewable) coexist towards the goal of only using green energy in the future.

I am pursuing an MBA with concentration in Energy Sustainability. As a Petroleum Engineer, I want to be part of the energy transition and make a big contribution on a more effective form to produce energy with the different sources (renewable and non-renewable) to develop better processes to reduce the non-renewable energy usage an enhance the renewable energy industry.
