About

In any endeavour, I strive to do my best as an African representing a minority group. I am a dynamic and detail-oriented manufacturing engineer with a track record of completing complex projects within strict timelines. With solid problem-solving and analytical skills, I excel in implementing innovative solutions. With the hope of solving real-world problems and impacting the world, I enrolled to pursue a master's degree in manufacturing engineering at Georgia Southern University. I earned my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and worked on a project that aligns with Responsible Consumption and Production and addresses the UN Sustainable Development Goals. For my master's research, I am currently researching the development of bio-based photopolymers, which would be advantageous in advanced manufacturing engineering and promote well-being for all. It also satisfies the UN sustainable goals of Industry, Innovation, Infrastructure, Responsible Consumption and Production, Good Health and Well-being. I developed my leadership skills during one year of national service, where I led and managed over three hundred group members to achieve a common goal. I currently chair a committee of Nigerian students where we plan on impacting the minority groups in the school, society, and the community around us. I continuously challenge myself to positively impact the manufacturing industry and society through innovative ideas and implementations.

Goals and interests

Career goal

In January 2023, I read a research paper on the application of additive manufacturing in healthcare. Additive manufacturing can create customized medical devices and implants tailored to patients' anatomy. And this technology can be used to deliver effective and personalized treatments such as cancer treatment, prosthetics, and dental implants. Therefore, I am more inclined to be a Product Development Engineer to develop products that can be used in different sectors, primarily the healthcare industry.
