About

I grew up in Mt Juliet, Tennessee. Growing up my mother had cancer, which led me to want to become a nurse just like those who helped saved my mom. In high school I got my CNA license. I was a manager at Chick-fil-A for four years throughout high school. After high school I worked as a tech at Monroe Carrell Jr. That is where I discovered I wanted to be a pediatric nurse. Currently I am at Lipscomb University getting my nursing license. When I graduate in spring of 2025, I plan to move to Arizona and work at a children's hospital.

Goals and interests

Career goal: I plan to go work in pediatrics. I am looking at med surg and ICU. I eventually want to be a travel nurse and go back to grad school for anesthesiology. I am interested post grad at working in an OB clinic doing epidurals.
Graduate school interests: I am looking at doing anesthesiology, but I am also interested in getting my NP or teaching clinicals post grad.
Outside the classroom: I enjoy going to the gym, cooking, creating art, reading, traveling, and hiking. I am a big foodie, so I enjoy going around Nashville trying new food. I love the Braves baseball team and the Nashville Predators hockey team! I am also a huge zoo enthusiast and have a goal to visit every zoo in the US. I have so far been to the Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Atlanta, Central Park, and Bronx zoo! I also enjoy spending time with my two nephews!
