About
My name is Kaitlyn Diaz. I attend the University of South Carolina, where my major is Exercise Science with a focus in the Scientific Foundations. My goal is to become a Pediatrician and have my very own practice. I come from a Puerto Rican and African American background. I have a large family where everyone is extremely close so it is only natural that I'm a people person. I love kids. I participated and helped with Special Olympics here in South Carolina my Junior and Senior year of high school and continue to spread the importance of getting involved. I volunteered at the Crosswell Children's Home here in my hometown and various nursing homes with the youth at my Church. I'm a firm believer in achieving your dreams by hard work and determination. Through Christ all things are possible.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My Job Path is to become a Pediatrician. If I didn't get right into medical school, I would be willing to go to PA(Physician Assistant) or PT (Physical Therapy) school. My hope is to beat the odds, if not, it's always good to have a back-up plan.
- Graduate school interests
I would absolutely love to attend MUSC in Charleston South Carolina. The program there is amazing and would prepare me to be an ideal doctor. Not to mention the beautiful and historic scenery of Charleston.
