I plan to explore organization leadership and followership in Latin America to identify ways formal and informal leaders in the region successfully implement positive change in organizations. My goal is to help readers understand how leaders in Latin America (1) navigate emotional and cognitive blocks to their own leadership capability and competence and (2) demonstrate behaviors that contribute to followers owning and committing to change. By understanding these personal and social dynamics, individuals at various levels of influence will be able to share broadened perspectives on and approaches to organization change.
- Outside the classroom
A lover of Flamenco and Fado music; short fiction by Jhumpa Lahiri, Alice Munro and Raymond Carver; French food; Nacho Cheese Doritos (not-food); biking after midnight; and going to the movies alone on weekday afternoons.
