Honors and awards
-
Best Radio Show
For an advanced level radio/tv class, I had to be a radio personality and I signed up to be over the campus and community radio show for my school's radio station KSAU 90.1 and my professor awarded me with a certificate for the best show.
-
The President's Volunteer Service Award
I received a certificate and a pin from Barack Obama for my community/volunteer service.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I am striving to be a news anchor for a news station or a journalist for a newspaper either online or print. I am also open to magazine writing as well. Acting has also been a passion of mine since the 7th grade, so with my Bachelors degree that i've already received in theatre arts, I would like to act for a major/small theatre company to pursue an acting career.
- Graduate school interests
I am at the University of Houston to pursue a Masters degree in Mass Communications, so I am getting my pre-requisites out of the way, so that when I apply and start my Masters work, I will have all of my basics out of the way. After getting my Master's degree in Mass Communications, I would like to go to graduate school for theatre either at UH, NYU, Columbia or UT Austin.
- Outside the classroom
In my spare time I enjoy acting, teaching, shopping, writing, traveling and playing with my dog.
