Karen Mejia

I am currently a senior at Chiawana High School while being a Running Start student at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA. I was born and raised in Pasco and have lived my entire life here. I want to pursue either Nursing or Criminal Justice to become a Nurse Anesthetist or a DEA agent. I am the first in my family to attend college and I want to make my family proud by succeeding and earning a good career. I want to pursue Nursing because I like the idea that Nurses have the ability to help and heal someone. I love the environment that they have because everyone works as a team to help the people get better. I want to help my family and friends when they're sick because I care about them and I want them to be healthy. For Criminal Justice, I would like to pursue it to become a DEA agent because I want to make the world a better place and protect the innocent people from being kidnapped and murdered. I want to make a difference in the Justice system because there has been many injustices and I want to change that. I take school very seriously, I have never failed a class and have always ended all my classes with good GPA's. School is very important to me because I want to be successful in life.
