About

I have worked in an open unit ICU for 11 years. I precept new nurses and experienced nurses to different equipment and machines used on critical patients. I also act as charge nurse for a 26 bed ICU at night and participate in our rapid response and code team. I am currently participating in the UTA RN-MSN program with hopes of teaching nursing at the collegiate level while still practicing my profession at a slower pace. My goal is not to finish my school in a rush because I take my job very seriously and work long hours and I believe In doing my best at whatever I do in life. At a slower pace, I can comprehend more while also benefitting from my work experience which will help me become a better teacher and resource to nursing students.
