Karin Fullington

I graduated with my BA in 2003 from UNC-Asheville in Mass Communications. I currently work at a wonderful family-owned TV station, Capitol Broadcasting Company (CBC), in Raleigh, NC as a Creative Services Producer. I produce promotional material for air, web, and social. I have worked in TV for 16 years and this is my third TV station. I have won numerous awards during my time at CBC, including three Emmy awards and about 7 Promax awards. I began pursuing a Master’s Degree program and the GRE shortly after having my son in 2013. An online program at UNC-Chapel Hill in Communications was the perfect program for me. The program only admits 25 students a year into the program, and I got one of the slots in 2015. This is my final year in the program, and I begin my thesis this summer. With seven courses completed, I have received High Pass grades in six of them thus far, equivalent to a A+. With a four-year-old at home, a full-time job, and a time consuming graduate program, I stay very busy and look forward to finishing my degree.
