Goals and interests

Career goal

Academia and Research in Psychoanalysis and Narrative

Graduate school interests

I have my bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Kansas. My research centers on PTSD symptoms in traumatized and abused populations. It examines how our life stories and memories of traumatic events can have an influence on the severity of PTSD symptoms. I have been granted admission to the University of Essex Master’s Jungian studies program for the fall of 2016 to deepen my studies of how the narrative can be used as a tool for psychotherapeutic interventions.

Outside the classroom

I like to teach yoga and meditation. I am also studying ballet and functional movement, Pilates, and aerial arts.
