About

I am an experienced elementary school educator with a wide range of experience working with many different student population groups. I have taught second, third, and fifth grade self-contained, multiple subject classes with students who are English Language Learners, medically fragile, have disabilities, and classified as Gifted (or above grade level). My vast experience working with students from such different backgrounds and learning how to differentiate curriculum has inspired me to study Instructional Design with the purpose of helping other teachers or curriculum companies to make curriculum and content more accessible to students no matter their academic abilities.

Currently, I am studying a Master's of Science in Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation at Syracuse University with an anticipated graduation date of Summer 2022. Previous to enrolling at Syracuse, I took Instructional Design classes at San Diego State University and received my teaching certificate in STEM Education from the University of California, Riverside. I additionally have my California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CalStateTEACH and a BA of Liberal Studies from California State University, Monterey Bay.
