About

In my time at Northeast Early College high school I have tried my best to utilize the programs best suited for my future plans. I've been enrolled in primarily Pre AP and AP main courses as well as Korean. My most challenging classes were dual credit. I was enrolled at ACC taking Japanese 1-3 and economics. While econ was an intense subject it was the second hardest. Since I was taking Korean as my language requirement I did not need to add on Japanese but I wanted to anyway. It has undeniably been my most tiring course but I won't give up on becoming as competent as I can be.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend on filling the title of mangaka (Japanese comic creator) one day. I'm choosing to become a mangaka because as someone who's grown up with Japanese media as a whole I take tons of inspiration from the anime/manga creators. The whole reason I'm as creative as I am today is all thanks to my mother for introducing me to all this. I would like to make her proud. Another reason for this career choice is for me to create better representation in the media for the black community. Unfortunately, Japanese media portrays us in rather outdated and racist manners more often than not. I want to be a voice for my fellow black nerds and black queer women in the media. I want to use my schooling to benefit others in my career dreams as much as possible.
