About

Hi my name is Kaylie I am a 21 year old attending UMN Duluth for elementary and special education with a psychology minor in August of 2023 I will be a freshman. I am from a small town so it was a good choice and my dream college because it’s close but not too far from home (being an hour) and a bigger community I chose education to become a teacher because it is something that my peers have seen me doing for my career and I wouldn’t have even graduated high school if it wasn’t for my special education teacher who stuck up for me during my rough school years of being bullied and taught me everything there is to know. I plan on making him proud as I used to be the shy teacher’s pet. It will be 4 1/2 years of college but I hope I can get it done earlier. I chose Psychology because I’d like my side job to be a therapist or life coach or even a caregiver as my peers also could see me as that for being so caring and emotional person. I plan to make myself and my peers and family and friends proud and the bullies that said I couldn’t do it.
